Happy Happy Birthday Children, Dear

We have so many birthdays in the family this month this month. But last Friday Tyler Tatumn and Ava all got a year older. They had an olympic birthday party at grandma Weaver's pool. The kids competed in "events" to earn Gold medals. Eveyone had a great time. All the kids at the party.
Ava's favorite part of the day was playing in the balloons.
The oldest kids lines of for their olympic race
And they are off.

You decide who was the winner. Post your opinion in the coments at the end of this post.

Cousin's weekend

The boys had a jumping contest at the pool. LT to Rt Devin, Jacob and Austin.
I love how you have the three stages of a jump all in the same image. Devin up Jake on the way down and Austin in the water.
Saturday night Austin and Tyler on the couch. You can see the kids clothing set up on the couch behind Tyler yet Sunday morning was still crazy.
Devin, Jacob, Caden and Brock in their club house in the gorage .

This weekend Devin, Austin, Brock , Tyler, Jacob and Caden had a cousin's party weekend. It started on Friday afternoon when I took 5 boys to Gamestop (a video game store.) You should have seen the looks I was getting from the people around the shop as the boys climed out of the car one by one and walked in the shop. Even the employees had to stare as boy after booy came walking into the store. Both Caden abd Brock had gotten gift certificates so everyone was helping then choose there games. The boys were very well behaved and not one of them noticed that they were being so closely watched. After the store we picked up Karley and went to Jacob and Caden's second soccer practice. They had had practice earlier in the week but Colby took the boys. So again 5 boys and a baby this time jump out of the car and headed over to the soccer field. One of the mom finally had to come over and ask if "all 5 of the boys were mine." They had decides that they looked enough alike to be sibling and were wondering how I could handle so many. We kept busy at practice by playing soccer, basktball and when cousin Tyler showed up baseball. So now 6 boys and a baby all climb in the car to go get pizzas.

We decided to take the pizza home to eat. After dinner the boys wanted to go swimming. So we did a little night swimming and then the video game party started. Yes, I let your boys play video game from 9-11:00pm. Then the boys decided that they wanted to all sleep on the game room (really the gorage) so that is where I let them sleep. We put down two mattresses and had the couch. At 3am I woke up and decided to check on the boys.

Jacob was talking in his sleep.

Tyler had gotten scared and wanted Devin to sleep next to him, but Devin was to tall to sleep in that spot so he ended up angling himself on the mattress squishing the other three boys that were there. I had to pull Tyler's feet down to get his head that was hanging off the matress to fit back on. I tried to wake Tyler, Brock or Caden to tell them to move to the couch where Devin had been but no one would wake up. So I covered them all up with more blankets and let them be. I wish I had gotten a picture of the first night.

The next morning the boys awoke and wanted to play video games. After about an hour they were ready to eat breakfast and go swimming. The boys played so hard that day -soccer, baseball, football, swimming and mission that by 9:30 non of them could keep their eyes open any longer. Yet they all insisted that they needed to stay up and watch a movie. Tyler and Austin slept inside the house and the rest returned to the gorage club house.

Sunday was a learning experience for me. Colby had worked all night Saturday so I had to get seven kids and myself ready for church. I have a great appreciation for all those moms who have to get that many children ready for church by themselves. Lets just say I ran around all morning trying to get things ready. Then as we were driving to church it doned on me that I had never even stopped long enough to put on my makeup. (Yes I went all nautral )

After church we went over to Grandma Weaver's house to meet Shonna's man Bruce.

What a fun weekend the kids had.
