Red Rock Canyon

Last week while Colby family was visiting Vegas, we went out to Red Rock Canyon. The kids had a great time hiking and climbing. We had a picnic lunch and then climed a few big rocks. Then the kids practiced their sling shot skills before we set out on our hike to the waterfall.

Front to back: Natalia, Devin, Karley Jacob, Austin, Brock, Geneivive, and Caden out in front of the visitor center. After checking out the visitor center this is how the boys kept themselves entertained.

It was a huge almost verticle climb to the top of the hill but all the kids held tight and made it to the top. Okay, your got me the pictures is just turned upside down. Ya, Karley is the biggest giveaway.

This is how the picture really looked.

1)Colby said he would pay whatever kid made it to the to of a huge hill $150. Before he could say go all the kids except for Natalia and Karley were halfway up the mountain. When he realized the kids were determined to collect on the challenge he resended the offer and all the kids immediately returned. They had gotten almost to the top (the plato were there are no longer trees) when they started back down.

2) Devin practicing to be David in the story David and Galieth.

3) Brock hitting his target.

4) Devin the stud waiting for everyone to catch up during a hike.

5) The kids hiking around

6)Colby imparting a little sling shot wisdom.

7) Hottie Geneivive

8)Jacob hiking to the falls.

9)Snow bunnies Natalia and Karley chillin at at the falls
10) Once again when we reached the falles the kids decided they wanted to see how high they could climb and before we knew it they were so high they had almost reached the top of the cliff.

No their are not really two Natalia'a and Two Karley I just split screaned on the photo.

I tried the same thing with the other kids but this one is a little bit more obvious.

THANKS EVERYONE FOR A GREAT DAY IN THE CANYON!!! WE LOVED IT.

Child labor

I think this violates all child labor laws. Not one of the kids in this photo is older then 5. Yet they had a great time "working" at Tyson's warehouse.

Our Family Fight To Victory

I just wanted to tell all of you who worked so hard and so valiantly for such a good cause how proud I am of what you did. For those of you who did not have this battle from the start it will only be a matter of time before you too will have the fight roll your way. I thought I would take some time to document what we have been working on so long and so hard the past few months. I have so many emotions when it comes to this prop 8 issue. It was only in the last month of the struggle that I came to be grateful for the battle we were in. Grateful for the spirit that was with me everytime I opened my mouth to tell someone why I was standing up for the family. Grateful for the many chances I had to share what I believe with so many people. Grateful for the love of God that was poured out upon me while I was engadged in his work. Grateful for the youth and Young Adults who always came to help in the fight at a moments notice. Grateful for the bond that I felt with family and friends as we slaved for the cause. I am especially grateful for the way that most of the Yes on 8 voters conducted themselves when they found themselved face to face with the opposition. I will forever be grateful for the lessons learned and the spirit of love that I felt.
Lyndsay and Chad's ward after a sign waving party. It is so great to see how many were willing to help.

Chad and Lyndsay's young adult ward at the Mall sign waving.

Tyson sent this picture of the plains that were writing "vote Yes on 8" the sfternoon before the electing. I have to tell you that my boys were so excited to see the plains. When I was talking with out Bishop's wife about it she jokingly told her kids it was a sign from HEAVEN to vote yes. I thought it was funny.

We are so proud of Dallin and all the other youth who stood up to the pressure of their peers and stood tall for what they believe in.
I don't have the utube clips of the OC sign waving nor can I find the picture of Tressa's ward's sign waving party. Maybe I'll get them up on another post.
Thank you all for your hard work and for the support of those who did not live in California.

Putting Up Signs

Today we spent a few hour putting up signs around town. We just have to wait and see how long they will last.

As we drove up the road this is what we found. I think it is a little ironic that the people who are threatening the most, stealing signs at an alarming rate, and have flat out lies in their advertisments are the same people accusing us of hate.
